Foley Estates Oak
For those of you who have been to the tasting room you’ll recognize the winery surrounded by the famed Santa Rita Hills wreathed in the early morning Pacific ocean fog (one of the secrets behind their Pinot Noir!) In this painting Nancy Wise has captured the true spirit of Foley Estates.
The movie Sideways premiered in 2004 bringing Santa Barbara Pinots to international attention. By 2008 the Santa Rita Hills were recognized as an outstanding site for Pinot Noir.
“As producers have learned more about farming this challenging a variety (Pinot), they’ve pushed west, seeking cooler sites where gradual ripening preserves fresh fruit character and bright acidity. Nowhere in Santa Barbara has to push west yielded better results than in Santa Rita Hills…” The Wine Spectator, June 2008
Foley’s Santa Rita Hills Vineyards have been the source for some of the finest Pinots produced in California and Foley Estates relies exclusively on our estate Vineyards Rancho Santa Rosa and Rancho Las Hermanas Vineyards for its luscious signature Pinots.
